The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, will be commissioning the WCO Regional Training Center, Gwagwalada, FCT Abuja.

The official commissioning is scheduled to take place on Thursday, the 8th of December, 2011 by 0900 hrs, at the venue.

Invited guest are to be seated by 9:30 am.

Nigeria Customs Service has been granted the right to host the 66th Policy Commission meeting of the World Customs Organisation. 

The Policy Commission is the key decision – making body of the WCO. The meeting holds in Abuja between the 5th – 8th December 2011

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Good luck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, will be commissioning the Customs Barracks, Kuje, FCT Abuja.

The official commissioning is scheduled to take place on Thursday 31st March, 2011, by 0900 hrs, at the venue.

Invited guest are to be seated by 9:30 am.

The Secretary-General of the World Customs Organisation (WCO), Mr Kunio Mikuriya, will be undertaking a working visit to Nigeria between 16th – 19th February 2011. 

During the visit, the Secretary General will engage Policy makers and Stakeholders on issues affecting on-going Customs Modernization and Capacity Building.

The International Customs Day Celebration comes up on Wednesday, the 26th of January, 2011. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Knowledge: A Catalyst for Customs Excellence”.

The event will also double as the Comptroller-General of Customs dinner/awards for 2010 later in the night.
