In line with the recent decision of the Federal Government of Nigeria, granting 6-month extension to the Contracts of Companies working alongside the Nigeria Customs Service in the provision of Destination Inspection Service , all Stakeholders are hereby informed that current Import procedures will continue to subsist until the end of the extension period.

The Nigeria Customs Service will fully abide by the extension and the terms, details of which are expected to be spelt out in due course. All Stakeholders are equally enjoined to cooperate fully with the Nigeria Customs Service and the Service Providers for a successful execution of the new contract.

In line with this development therefore, the introduction of the new Pre-Arrival Application System (PAAR), which was developed by the Nigeria Customs Service is now put on hold. All work plans related to the launch of the system will therefore be reviewed in consultation with all relevant Authorities and Stakeholders.

The Nigeria Customs Service wishes to express gratitude to the Federal Government of Nigeria for investing massively in ongoing modernisation efforts, and repositioning NCS for efficient service delivery. We equally thank all our partner Stakeholders who have collaborated with us in building our capacity to ensure a smooth take over ultimately at the end of the contract extension period.
