AIMS & OBJECTIVES
To assess Service Performance during the year and strategize for the years ahead
To strengthen partnership with Stakeholders on the operations of the Service
To foster better collaboration with all Stakeholders in the cargo clearance process using modern ICT techniques for trade facilitation and optimum revenue drive
To assess the progress of various IT Projects aimed at enhancing qualitative Service delivery
To speed up the establishment of the National Single Window Environment (NSWE) to incorporate all stakeholders in the International Trade Supply Chain for e-trade and e-government services
As part of Nigeria Customs Service’s collaborative efforts to achieve the 48-hours clearance agenda and a Single Window environment, the Single Window Business Process Analysis Workshop is being organized for stakeholders involved in the international trade supply chain.
This workshop will focus on verifying and validating the processes gathered and documented during the Gap Analysis Study, and will provide it to the forum to discuss improvement areas to be considered for our collaborative harmonization and streamlining efforts.
The output of this workshop will certainly contribute to our collective goal of achieving the 48 hours clearance agenda, facilitating the trade environment, and adopting the Single Window Concept. This workshop is aimed to management, technical practitioners, and operational staff of stakeholders who participated in the previous process gathering exercise. A one week workshop on Customs Media Relations opens in Owerri the Imo State capital today; Monday the 26th of March, 2012 with its theme “Fostering Effective Customs Media Relations”. The event which is packaged by Charllotte Hill Limited for Public Relations Executives in the Nigeria Customs Service and the Media in conjunction with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) will be held at ALL SEASONS HOTEL OWERRI with Resource persons drawn from the Institute.
